ABOUT
Chanel Dagher is a 23-year-old Italian-Lebanese-Australian fashion designer and the founder of Mia Musca, a womenswear label rooted in heritage, sensuality, and symbolic storytelling.
Her passion for design began at the age of nine, when her grandmother, Anna Gazzo—a professionally trained tailor in Italy—began teaching her to sew. Chanel’s great-aunt Severina, a skilled dressmaker, also shared this legacy, embedding craftsmanship into her early creative world.
Raised between two cultures, Chanel’s work is shaped by the dualities of her identity: East and West, tradition and modernity, restraint and romanticism. Her collections explore themes of memory, identity, and the emotional rituals of womanhood, drawing inspiration from Mediterranean iconography, Catholic sacraments, and inherited femininity.
The name Mia Musca—“My Musca”—honours her childhood nickname Muscareda, a Sicilian word for a native fig or pear. Now based in Australia, Chanel continues to build Mia Musca as a label rooted in meaning, softness, and slow intention.
